| I believe that life begins at conception but... I do not want to criminalize abortion for the mother, the doctor, or any other participant. When abortions were illegal, people still had abortions. In general, prohibition just drives the market underground. I do not want tax-payer money to pay for abortions, but I would be in favor of offering counseling and ultrasounds for the mother to try to encourage her to carry the baby to term. | |||

| We need to drastically cut government spending across the board. The income tax is not Constitutional, so I would not be in favor or increasing the income tax. I want to address the debt FIRST with each budget by paying AT LEAST 2% of the debt with each budget. Use last year's revenue figures as the basis for spending, and then stay within that budget. I would reduce spending on military hardware, but increase spending on veterans benefits. | |||

| The US Constitution does not give the federal government the authority to be involved in the administration of healthcare in any way. I would also say that the runaway costs of healthcare are a direct result of interfering in the markets, from regulating how many doctors, nurses, and other healthcare personnel are trained, to how many hospitals are allowed to be built, to the implementation of Medicare and Medicaid, to the regulation of drugs by the FDA. Get the government completely out of healthcare. | |||

| A physical wall along parts of the border makes sense, but not the entire border. To a large degree, the flow of illegal immigrants has already been largely curtailed, the majority of illegal immigrants today arrive by plane and simply overstay their visas. We need to stop giving benefits to illegal immigrants. If a person or family has been here for seven or more years and has been a law-abiding member of society, let them stay. The logistics of deporting would involve gross violations of basic civil rights to everyone. | |||

| US foreign policy has been an on-going system of invasion and occupation. We have military bases in over 130 countries around the world. We also have a missile "defense" system which is located along Russia's southern border, a system that can be converted to an offensive system by simply changing the missiles. I would prefer that we spend our resources in trying to de-escalate the militaries of Russia and China, and find meaningful ways of trying to co-operate with each other in a more peaceful way. No one will win in a nuclear exchange. | |||
| I want to place a high priority on paying down the debt, balancing the budget, and returning the US federal government to a Constitutional basis. I would also want to legalize all forms of cannabis - industrial hemp, recreational marijuana, and medical marijuana. Debt is a trap, a trap that Greece and other countries have already fallen into. We risk becoming enslaved by the banking system if we do not reverse course on spending immediately. |
